About Our School

Meet Our Principals

Dear FLCCA Elementary School Families,

I’m thrilled to introduce myself, Kristan Haberstro, your new elementary principal! My background includes over 14 years of experience serving in various capacities in public, private, non-profit, and virtual educational settings. From being a dedicated teacher to taking on leadership roles including director, lead instructor, and head of school, my journey has been diverse and rewarding!

I am eager to embark on this educational journey with all of you and the school districts of Clay, Duval, and Osceola counties. In my new role at Florida Cyber Charter Academy (FLCCA), I look forward to earning the trust of the students and families whom I serve. It is my sincere commitment to foster positive and meaningful connections with our school community. It is through this connection that we will create an environment that supports academic growth and provides a fulfilling educational experience for all.

I am deeply passionate about giving students the foundational skills needed to achieve academic success. My daughters are both graduates of virtual education. My oldest, Madison, will be graduating from FIU this month and my youngest, Myah, completed high school virtually while training with the Tulsa Ballet. Virtual education has had a profound impact on their ability to enjoy life experiences while completing their educational endeavors.

I am excited about this year and am committed to contributing to the continued success of FLCCA! I look forward to serving you this year.

Thank you!

Dear FLCCA Middle School Families,

My name is Kerrie D’Esposito and I am so excited to introduce myself as the new principal of the middle school at FLCCA. Over the past 22 years, I have worked as a teacher and administrator, but I consider my most important job to be that of a child advocate. I will spend a lot of time with your children, getting to know their personalities, learning styles and interests. I will celebrate their successes, small and large. I will encourage them every day and let them know they are valued and have a special place in our school community.

My goal is to ensure that all students are healthy, happy and safe, so they may learn as much as they can. This has been my philosophy since I began my career teaching with the New York City Department of Education. I worked in the boroughs of Brooklyn, Staten Island, and Queens as a teacher, dean of students, school counselor, and an assistant principal for over sixteen years. After my husband retired from the New York City Police Department, we relocated to Florida, where I have had the pleasure to have worked as a social studies teacher, departmental chair, student services manager, and most recently as the master teacher with FLCCA HS.

My crowning achievement comes not professionally, but personally, as I am the mother of two beautiful children: Martin (16) and Bianca (11). People often say I treat all students in my school as if they were my own. Please know I will work tirelessly to ensure all your children have the best possible experiences while at FLCCA.

Once again, I am so thankful to have the opportunity to bring all that I have experienced and learned with me to your wonderful community. I look forward to getting to know you and your children

Thank you for all that you do,

Kerrie D'Esposito

FLCCA Families,

It is with great pleasure that I, Page Green, will be serving as the Florida Cyber Charter Academy High School Academic Administrator. This school year will be a journey for all of us. I have been in education for 27 years, serving as a school level administrator for 16 of those years. In my 27 years as an educator, I have been a math teacher, an elementary assistant principal and K-12 principal. My most important role is being the mother of two children, Mallory and Mason.

I believe that commitment, communication, and connecting are all important to a successful year at FLCCA. As your principal I am COMMITTED to serving the students, staff and families at FLCCA. COMMUNICATION between home and school is crucial to success. I look forward to making positive CONNECTIONS with FLCCA families, and staff.

I will continue to nurture a school culture that will maximize the student learning experience, by creating a learning environment that promotes high academic expectations, while supporting the social emotional well-being of ALL students. As your child’s high school principal, it is my priority to watch your child walk across the stage at graduation and celebrate with you, their success.

To quote Steve Jobs,” The only way to do great work is to love what you do.” I truly enjoy every minute of being an educator.

I look forward to partnering with you to achieve the best success for your child.

Sincerely

Page D. Green

FLCCA Families,

I am Angie Canter, and this is my sixth year with FLCCA. I spent two years as a fifth-grade teacher, 3 years as Master teacher, and in my sixth year, I moved into the Assistant Principal role.

Prior to being at FLCCA, I served as a literacy coach and a teacher ranging in grades kindergarten through 9th grade.

On a personal note, I am married to a wonderful husband and have two beautiful children: Eliana, 8 and Cohen, 20 months. We are highly involved in our community through school governance initiatives, our children’s schools, and our church.

I am so excited to have the opportunity to work the students in grades kindergarten through 12th grade this year. Great things are in store for our FLCCA family.
