On-line students celebrate graduation

Virtual students from across the state come together for in-person graduation at the Clermont Arts and Recreation Center.

Nearly 200 students from Florida Cyber Charter Academy (FLCCA), an online public school, crossed the stage on May 30 to receive their diplomas.

Hosted in-person, the graduation ceremony brought together the class of 2025, their families, and educators from across the state to celebrate the milestone moment.

“Graduation is more than a ceremony, it’s a powerful reminder that learning doesn’t stop at the diploma,” said Jerry Hulshult, Director of Schools at FLCCA. “These students have embraced the flexibility of online learning, built strong academic foundations, and are now stepping forward as the next generation of scholars, service members, and skilled professionals.”

The graduating class is already taking bold steps toward their futures:

  • Nine students plan to serve their country by enlisting in the military.
  • 81 students already have job offers lined up.
  • 71 students are pursuing higher education.
  • More than $300,000 combined scholarships were received.
  • 20 students are enrolling in trade schools to pursue industry certifications.

FLCCA’s online model has empowered students to discover their strengths, set their pace, and prepare for a variety of post-graduation pathways, whether that means stepping onto a college campus, into a skilled trade, or toward military service.
