About Our School
Meet Our Principals
Dear FLCCA Elementary School Families,
I am your new Elementary Academic Administrator, also known as Principal! I am coming to you from 23 years of working in Florida public education. I have taught special education and general education classes; I was a 5th grade teacher for many years. I was an Academic/Curriculum Coach, Assistant Principal, and now I am excited to be serving the virtual community as your FLCCA Principal.
My goal is to ensure our students get an engaging, standards-aligned education that prepares them for middle and high school. Students should feel valued, safe, and important in our school! I have been welcomed by the teachers and staff at FLCCA, so I have already seen first-hand that this is a positive, encouraging community. .
I have three wonderful daughters that have travelled the halls of public school and ventured through the virtual hallways as well. Paige (23) completed most of her degree at UCF online, Morgan (20) is completing most of her current classes online, and my youngest, Josie (15) is dual enrolling at a college with online classes as well. My first master’s degree was completely virtual. We know that virtual school is growing in demand and does provide a quality education that meets the needs of the students and families that choose it!
I look forward to working with you and your children!
Sincerely,
Nicole O’Quinn
Elementary Principal
Hello FLCCA Families!
It is a privilege to serve as the Florida Cyber Charter Academy High School Principal. I feel honored to lead a school with such a strong commitment to student success. Over the past two decades I have worked in the world of education supporting students, families, and staff focusing on increasing engagement and academic success.
Our dedicated and caring team of professionals works collaboratively to ensure the individual and diverse needs of students are met through an academically rigorous curriculum and differentiated instruction. At FLCCA teachers and staff will remain focused and committed to encouraging all students to be confident, caring, and self-motivated individuals. We will work diligently, every day, to ensure every student is college or career ready when they leave our virtual hallways.
If you have any questions, concerns, or ideas, please do not hesitate to reach out! We are all here to support your student and your family.
Sincerely,
Rita Whitten
High School Principal
Dear FLCCA Middle School Families,
My name is Kerrie D’Esposito and I am so excited to introduce myself as the new principal of the middle school at FLCCA. Over the past 22 years, I have worked as a teacher and administrator, but I consider my most important job to be that of a child advocate. I will spend a lot of time with your children, getting to know their personalities, learning styles and interests. I will celebrate their successes, small and large. I will encourage them every day and let them know they are valued and have a special place in our school community.
My goal is to ensure that all students are healthy, happy and safe, so they may learn as much as they can. This has been my philosophy since I began my career teaching with the New York City Department of Education. I worked in the boroughs of Brooklyn, Staten Island, and Queens as a teacher, dean of students, school counselor, and an assistant principal for over sixteen years. After my husband retired from the New York City Police Department, we relocated to Florida, where I have had the pleasure to have worked as a social studies teacher, departmental chair, student services manager, and most recently as the master teacher with FLCCA HS.
My crowning achievement comes not professionally, but personally, as I am the mother of two beautiful children: Martin (16) and Bianca (11). People often say I treat all students in my school as if they were my own. Please know I will work tirelessly to ensure all your children have the best possible experiences while at FLCCA.
Once again, I am so thankful to have the opportunity to bring all that I have experienced and learned with me to your wonderful community. I look forward to getting to know you and your children
Thank you for all that you do,
Kerrie D'Esposito
Middle School Principal
