Enrollment and Attendance FAQs
Who is eligible to attend Florida Cyber Charter Academy (FLCCA)?
Florida Cyber Charter Academy is offering full-time enrollment for grades K–12 in Osceola County, K–12 in Duval, grades K–12 in Pasco, and grades K–11 in Clay for the 2017–2018 school year. Kindergartners must be five years old before September 1, 2017, to be eligible for the program.
How many of my children can I enroll in FLCCA?
Because Florida Cyber Charter Academy provides all the lesson plans and materials needed, many parents find it easy to enroll multiple children in the program. We currently have families with as many as five children in the program being guided by one teaching adult in conjunction with the support of Florida Charter Cyber Academy teachers.
What does it cost to attend Florida Cyber Charter Academy?
Since Florida Cyber Charter Academy is a public school program, there is no tuition. Florida Cyber Charter Academy provides state-certified teachers and all instructional materials for the program. However, students and families will be responsible for providing some consumable materials (such as printer ink and paper).
What is the attendance policy?
Florida Cyber Charter Academy works with families toward a positive attendance record to meet their required number of 180 instructional days.
Can I take a vacation during the school year?
The school calendar includes school "holidays" or vacation time. Whenever possible, family vacations should align with school vacation days. Parents are encouraged to contact their teacher if they plan a vacation that does not coordinate with the school calendar.
